Hi, and welcome to the Sports Report. My name is
Adam Losson. This post is an introduction to give you an idea of what to expect
from this blog. You will come to find the latest news and information on the
wild world of sports will be found here, I will be covering the latest hot
button topics that are happening on and off the playing field, as well as my
opinion and thoughts on some of the latest game action.
To give you a little bit of an understanding as to
why I am so interested and passionate about sports let me give you a
little bit of a background on myself. I was born in Topeka Kansas, and my
mother and I moved to the state of Michigan when I was starting kindergarten. Now
we didn’t move to just any city in Michigan, we moved to Ann Arbor, the home of
the University of Michigan and the "Big House" AKA Michigan Stadium,
with sell out crowds reaching over 114,000 maize and blue faithful fans
cheering on the Michigan Wolverine football team its the largest football
stadium in the United States. Needless to say I became an instant life long
fan, especially when we got season tickets and I started regularly attending
games at the age of 10. Shortly after that we moved just east to the suburbs of
Detroit, where my mother then continued to influence my love of sports by
repeatedly taking me to see the Detroit Tigers take on baseballs greats at old
Tiger Stadium and the new Comerica Park, along with seeing the great Barry
Sanders tear up the competition at the Pontiac Silver dome, taking me to see
Joe Dumars dunk over the competition in the Palace of Auburn Hills, and finally
we repeatedly caught the famed Detroit Red Wings cause havoc on the ice on
there way to winning multiple Stanley cups. With my mother enriching my life by
showing me the joys of how sports are an exciting and entertaining way of
watching great competitors and athletes I instantly became a sports nut. Now
that I live back here in Kansas I still make sure I catch as much action as I
possibly can, whether it be catching a Royals game, or Visiting the PHOG, I
still jump at every chance I get to take in a live event.
With my passion of sports being as strong as it is
you can imagine that it was hard to keep me out of them growing up. From inter-mural basketball at the YMCA when I was in elementary school, then on to
middle school track, I also played football from 6th grade through 9th where I
then turned to a more relaxing sport, golf which I started in 10th grade and
still play every chance I get today.
Hopefully that little bit of background information
helps give you an understanding of why I love the thrill of completion, the
smell of grills on game day and still get chills when I here a college band
play a fight song. I look forward to sharing that passion with you and hope you
enjoy it.
